Feeding Stimulant Adjuvant Technology

Combi-Protec™ is a spray mix additive developed to support insecticide performance by encouraging feeding behaviour in target pests. It is used in both full-coverage and bait-spray applications and fits within integrated pest management programs where ingestion is required for control.

The formulation contains food-based plant extracts and sugars that attract insects, particularly female fruit flies, and stimulate feeding on treated surfaces. This supports the uptake of insecticides that require ingestion to be effective.

For best results, apply in combination with compatible insecticides and target early pest activity, particularly during key crop stages such as fruit ripening. Application timing and placement are important to support consistent performance.

Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD)

Spotted Wing Drosophila is a major pest of soft and stone fruits across North America, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, and grapes. Unlike most vinegar flies, it targets ripening fruit, leading to significant economic losses. Eggs are laid inside fruit and hatch within 1–3 days, with larvae feeding internally and causing softening, collapse, and contamination. Infestations can develop rapidly, especially in warm and humid conditions, and are often detected only after damage has occurred. Monitoring should begin as fruit starts to ripen using traps and regular crop inspection. Early monitoring and timely application are critical for effective management.
